Wrong. Though subtle, Pidove has enough differences to set it apart from real life Pigeons, such as a more pronounced grey, a shorter, stubbier body and that little tuft on it's head.
Combined with it's evolutionary line, and you get a somewhat realistic looking normal/flying line with just the right amount of stylization to feel like a Pokemon.
Pikipek's line is a fucking mess. I just don't know what they were thinking. We have this adorable little woodpecker with striking red markings and hair almost reminiscent of a bobcut, with the utmost potential. And it evolves into... a Toucan with angry eyebrows? Don't even get me started on that middle stage, which is one of the ugliest things in the entire franchise.
When you think people complaining about Toukipek are just overreacting, consider it's first stage, and realize just how badly GF fucked up with this. [/spoiler:lit]
