I tried it for the first time ever and and just stalled out a win because turn 1 I had a 200hp pokemon and kept stacking hp and debuff counters forcing him to focus on his bench evolutions while I did the same. Shit was like the Cold war except my bench was more stacked.
Literally stalled him for the win and neither of us attacked.
