'm not talking codes, I'm talking manhours needed to get the cunts working in the game engine, vs using the time spent on making other parts of the game. I did use a direct quote (misremembered, sorry) from Ohmori stating he and the game design team had to implement trials themselves with no programmers available to actually write code for them, but that wasn't a "they're runing out of codeses" but more "they don't physically have access to a human to do what they need". It's why the trials in USM were far more involved and expanded - they had the dex settled, they could use manhours to actually make

Ohmori saying they had no programmers to code in trials and that implementation of trials didn't start is evidence enough. Meanwhile, it gets every yet more unwieldy, given they're adding 100-ish new ones every Gen still, even if they're never going to all be in one game ever again. Anon, they had decided BEFORE getting to debug to remove gyms. The issue was they went to debug phase without actually tasking a programmer with adding them, they were all too busy getting the pokémon to behave in the game engine, something which Ohmori admitted to. That's why Ohmori says he and a team of designers used simple coding languages to add them (because they weren't actually programmers versed in proper languages but winging it in the great tradition of Game Freak staff doing what needs done to get the game made) and why they were so much better in USM, when they were able to set a programmer to actually program in trials.

And Gen 6 is widely considered the worst pokémon game to date and SM called a "visual novel" here, along with getting savaged for pokémon t-posing. And the game's own director saying they had planned to enact the cut one Gen sooner, but backtracked to the detriment of the project, as he also said they weren't able to fully cook the game they had in mind, because the fleet of programmers were busy elsewhere on the project.
