I'm tired of this yearly franchise shit, it's hurting the games overall quality, and it gives me little reason to play one game when it's immediately going to be replaced by another. I would honestly rather Gen 8 last like 5 years. 2 years (including this one) of Sword/Shield support and content, 2 years of the inevitable DP remakes, 1 year of nothing (for Gen 9 to bake) with spinoffs sprinkled inbetween is honestly ideal for me.
Fuck the literal addict fans who need their yearly fix (and TPC) because it's clearly why SWSH turned out the way they did in the first place.
