>>51761922I've tried it, it's pretty fun actually. Battles are pure kino, even though they seem to favor fast Pokemon quite a bit.
Like many other fangames I've seen it's plagued by audio and visual inconsistency. UI uses pokemon-like text box for output, but all interactive views are default pop-ups that use system font and input fields. The game buit with GBA assets runs in fullscreen mode by default, running it in windowed mode results in a small ass window where text becomes unreadable and the window constantly resets when you try to resize it. OST consists entirely of MIDI versions of late 90's - mid 00's pop music (probably amazing for people who miss Linkin Park, 50 Cent, Gorillaz, Bloodhound Gang, Katy Perry and others, but to me it sounds very odd and un-pokemonlike). It also seems to draw a inspiration from anime which is a huge flaw in my opinion. Like there's literall Ash in the list of characters and Pikachu cry uses a special snowflake voice track instead of usual cry from games like the rest of Pokemon.
What really ruined it for me is the lack of gamepad support, the gameplay is very intensive and requires a lot of keyboard mashing, ideally I'd like to play something like this while chilling in my chair. Still a very interesting and refreshing entry, I'll probably try to play it to completion it when I have spare time.
