Most if not all Platinum dex mons look cozy or sorta silly but still cozy.
Unova mons look like shit. I can dig a couple of them, but it's more because of the unique typing and idea for design than the mon itself (like Galvantula is in paper a cool mon, but looks kinda ugly). I can only seriously claim to like the Krookodile family and Axew.
Plus the Ice types sucks ass, when coming from a region with the two best Ice types ever. The poison types aren't that much better either. If I wanted to play Kanto 2.0, I'd just play fucking Kanto (which is already a boring as fuck game).
Come to think of it, in reality, Unova is an improved Kanto in disguise. Same quirky mons, same stereotypes, but with improved everything. But I didn't like Kanto that much (Johto helped because it turned a shitty region into a history trip), so I can't like Unova that much either, sorry. Still, great story, great sequels (B2W2 were great with some old mons in the mix), good music, challenging game. Just not my cup of tea to look at.
