>>49093692I’ve been seeing a lot of people on lebbit and all the local Discords I’m in freaking out about this paragraph. Not saying /pgg/ would be like those guys, I’m wondering if anyone else here feels differently. Personally, I’m really excited that they’ve announced this, or at least made clear the general precedent for the future is to incentivize exercise and socialization. At the very least, raids have been pretty much a gachapon with extra steps since community days started, so anything that would make them more difficult or require being in person is more desirable than not. Sure, a lot of people probably won’t be able to go outside like they used to, or at all in places with idiotic governments, but the main draw to the game was being able to get out into the physical world to collect your favorite creatures and collaborate with other people that play as well. I’m so sick of showing up in the middle of nowhere with no one around just so people can effectively simulate a raid from their bedroom; the main thing that got me into the game was being able to have more than one social interaction per week. Also, while the incense change is not particularly desired, nerfing it is probably better in the long run to establish the kinds of players Niantic wants to have (or at least to promote) playing the game.
tl;dr Fuck remote raid passes. The thought that they will be weakened in the coming months is the only thing keeping me invested in this game.
