>>47565721playing crystal on the 3ds virtual console for the first time since my cousin stole my cart around ~2002/3ish, not exactly sure when. during the lockdowns, work from home, etc, i played thru red, gold, silver, emerald, platinum, most of white 2, tried to play Sun again (never completed first run out of boredom) but gave up again before the 2nd "gym" or trial or whatever happens when you leave the first island. the game is so fucking boring and hand holdy. but i'm back onto gen 2. it's so damn comfy, but there are so few mons worth actually using. i'm running a nuzlocke to mix it up, but everything's movepools and stats are absolute dogshit. i boxed hoothoot and hoppip immediately because they don't learn shit
i might revisit hoothoot in time, depending on my KO luck, and am using cindaquil, spinarak, and gastly atm. geodude got knocked out by rival's croconaw right before Bugsy.
