What are the references to the Orre region visible in the main games?
I know a lot of story ideas come out of it. In Black and White 2, Colress is doing the same research as Ein, the scientist who "invented" the Shadow Pokémon, both aimed at pushing the power of the Pokémon to their fullest, depriving them of all consciousness. Both scientists are powerful trainers with a similar design, especially for their wick.
The team Skull / AEther relationship in sun and moon works like the team Snagem / Cipher relationship.
And especially the theme of Eterna City is a remix of the Agate village.
