>>51323637They’re both cinematic, but I at least felt like I got my money’s worth out of Gen 5 in terms of difficulty and playtime. XY was more like a half-baked tech demo. Again, I didn’t really care for Gen 5, but XY is where I really noticed the severe drop in difficulty and time required to clear the E4. I think an ideal game would be a “remake” of something like Gen 2 with locales more accurate to their real world counterparts, instead of something like ORAS or LGPE where it’s the same maps ripped from the Gameboy with better graphics and a few new NPCs.
