Each one of the captains was CLEARLY shown to be in very distinct locations on different islands.
We are still getting essentially our 8 gym leaders, they make up for probably not fighting the trial captains with the totem pokemon.
We are clearly still getting a league of some sort at the end of all of this as made apparent by that fifth man made island.
I literally don't get why you guys are fishing so hard.
There's literally no way for there to be 14+ trial captains, it would make zero fucking sense.
