>>45840626It is not as good as it was during DP or XY era but a step above what we have seen in BW and SM. Its biggest problem is OLM keeping the SM style and minimal budget for battles which makes the fights look boring and uninspired. DP used a lot of game mechanics to keep fights interesting whereas XY had splendid animation sequences. Newest series lacks in both departments, from what I remember ability was utilized only once (Electrode's Aftermath) and the only clever battle tactic we have seen so far was Korrina and her Mienshao's U-Turn.
