If you let it define you or become so obsessive over it that it causes problems then yeah it's time to feel terrible and get help, but getting off to things in healthy moderation is really just another form of entertainment.
Also I'm definitely one for super cheesy "It doesn't matter what you are, I still love you" type shit in stories and what not, so in that sense not being human just makes it appeal to me more. I understand the argument that about them being animalistic and all that but any fantasy I have operates under the assumption that they're intelligent enough to the point where it's a mutual understanding and desire. There's even evidence to back that up, but we don't need to get into that. I wouldn't be able to get off to stuff involving Rhyhorn, for example, because it's canonically fucking dumb and it'd feel like taking advantage of a stupid creature. Likewise, if they were real and not as intelligent as I'd hope they would be then I wouldn't even attempt anything - just like I'm not gonna go out and start fucking real life animals.
