If the lecture is boring and on something I might already know or something I could easily study on my own, I might whip out an emulator. Though typically I'll play something more pick-up-and-play like MegaMan.
Sometimes though, I'll have something simple to the side like Pokemon or Cookie Clicker so when there is a break in the lecture, someone asks a stupid question, or someshit, I can just battle a trainer or grind for a minute and hop right back to the lecture. I like to keep myself occupied yo.
Also I don't know why you guys assume it'll wreck the fuck out of your social life. In between classes or even when I'm done with em, I'll head over to the loft area in the food services building and mingle with my fellow art students or the IT guys. I mean granted I actively seek out social interaction. I am the complete opposite of someone with social anxiety. I love being around people and having a large group of friends.
