New run, new ruleset. I will be playing Pokemon Platinum - one of the most difficult games - with a ruleset I will be calling the Typeblocke. The rules are similar to the normal Nuzlocke, but with a deadly twist: if a Pokemon dies, its primary typing dies with it. If I have a dual-type Pokemon in the PC, it doesn't die until all of its types are dead. If its primary type is already dead when it dies, then the secondary type dies instead of the primary type.
For example, say I have a team of Golem, Gigalith, and Sandslash. If Golem dies, the Rock type dies, so Gigalith dies with it. If Gigalith dies, then Golem is still able to be used because it has a secondary typing of Ground. If both Gigalith and Sandslash die, then Golem dies because both Rock and Ground are dead types. If Gigalith dies, and then Golem dies, then Sandslash dies because both the Rock type (from Gigalith) and the Ground type (from the Golem) are dead.
This may sound confusing, so I will be including in the layout a chart of the types that are alive, and will be crossing out any types that are dead.
That's it for rule explanations. I will address Shiny Clause if it ever comes up, which it probably won't.
