Delta species also has the dual type gimmick that was ment to increase the amount of steel types as there was only like 6 steel type lines in gen 3. I think mechanically Tera is better but is far more restrictive being exclusive to ex's and far uglier... delta species was a very fun Idea to see pokemon in colour matching cards and the metal combo energy symbols look cool
