What's it like in the universe where Decidueye was the shillmon and got into Smash and became Ash's ace. I bet really cool. Game Freak would have clearly been attuned to the fan desires a second generation in a row and we would have had a cool stealthy owl to hype up how awesome Pokemon could be. In Smash he could have been a fast (canon in Pokedex entries) arrow-wielding badass and use his ghost typing to do stuff like Shadow Sneak and shoot arrows or Spirit Shackle to wall off opponents. The anime could have been more epic as well with Ash's Decidueye facing off against Hau's for Champion of the Alola League and even if Ash lost that is still the popular Pokemon Decidueye winning no matter what. Decidueye's character arc from a funny little owl to a cool protector of his flock would be been good character development for him and Ash. So, do you agree with me.
