>>45130116>I think Unova pokemon were just poorly presented in Gen 5 and unfortunatelyAgreed, Gen 5 sprites are almost all identical to the official art and seriously lack dynamism as a result - the only exception I can think of is Pawniard. That and it feels like it was in an awkward spot where they were really starting to do gimmicks you could only see in motion (i.e. Samurott's seamitars, Excadrill forming a drill) but didn't have the tools to show it yet (such as 3D models)
