Share your favorite small things in competitive! Whatever small moment gives you the biggest dopamine hit. Players of any format, any generation, and any skill level are welcome.
Things I find satisfying things in singles:
>Clicking a free volt switch or u turn- it feels damn good to know that you get to have the initiative for two turns in a row. You get to beat down the opponent, and then beat him down again the next turn. Feels even better with hazards up. Slowbro teleports count too.
>Sludge wave, close combat, water shuriken, corkscrew crash, continental crush, sub0 slammer- I don't like the animations for these moves on cart, but on simulators they feel really satisfying to use.
>a lethal pursuit on a weather setter- most satisfying in gen 5
>using really strong stab attacks in their terrain- examples are mega alakazam in psychic terrain and kartana in grassy terrain
>choice band explosion
>protecting into explosion/self destruct
>healing wishing your pokemon from nearly zero
>doubling into magnezone to trap stuff
>spinblocking with rocky helmet/rough skin/iron barbs
>focus punching from behind a sub
Things I find satisfying in doubles:
>clicking metagross zen headbut in psychic terrain- max mindstorm animation is retarded looking but regular zen feels and looks cool with the boost
>tricking eject button onto someone trying to justibeat. Eject buttoning a dynamaxer in general, but this one is the funniest.
>killing weezing with urshifu+dynamaxer through protect on turn 1
>the animations for max steelspike, meteor beam, flash cannon
>killing sash pokemon with the chip from max rockfall or hailstorm
>killing incineroar- i hate this shit fursuit design and its fun to see it get KOd
>OHKOing opponents dynamax
>beating your opponent in their ally switch mindgame
>kings shield with aegislash- I like the animation where he spins. If its into a double up, it feels even better
