If you're gimping yourself by using a shitmon team full of bros then I guess it's "hard," but if you're using the best of the best then it's just as much of a brainldead sweep as the main game.
The same pokemon that run the battle spot metas are the same ones that effortlessly rip the BT to shreds, because the "high level ai" is still predictable as shit and they can only have so many sets (2 to 4) to choose from per pokemon. The biggest streak killers for a competent player in these things are bullshit strats you cannot reliably counter like bulky mons spamming double team holding lax incense, or fast mons with OHKO moves.
