It's really what most people liked about the Battle Frontier than the battles themselves. Something new after you beat the Champion is always refreshing and really adds to the experience

It just feels disgustingly convenient though. A character that a lot of people hate suddenly gets some sympathetic development tailored specifically for getting people to like her despite the fact her debut was incredibly poorly handled and did a terrible job making people like her in the first place? That sounds like wishful thinking than something actually confirmed within the game itself

I'm not saying I can't be wrong, but without sources this all sounds like utter bullshit

What's really adult about the animation? A lot of the scenes are either straight adaptions from the games or concepts relating to them. If anything 900+ episodes of the Ashnime dumbed down the concept of the Pokemon world because they focus on shitty characters to advertise the series instead of what the Pokemon series is really capable of

Just because there's an attempt to have tension in a 4 minute short doesn't make it any more mature
