It was a stupid rat that you got instead of a good pokemon because you were a newfag and watched the cartoon and thought it was good for some reason. Then it refused to evolve and didn't even get any boosted stats or anything, basically just wasting space in your party.
Pikachu was not a bro, it was an asshole room mate who ate your food and never picked up after itself and barely got rent on time. But you thought it was cool for some reason while everyone else tried to tell you that it was having a negative effect on your life and you should break contact with it.
