It doesn't matter if you come off with whatever bullshit you separate it from Pokemon, but at its very core its the same shit and one company got it right by not being so emotionally attached to every Digimon while the other dick sucked every monster and the "adventure" till the adventure had to be watered down and the monsters limited. Even the series have had its mascot Digimon get fucked up, deleted, absorbed, corrupted and yet Pokemon cant even give a realistic fight because if the yellow rat faints to a fire dragon then it's the end of the series for good.
