I have been playing pokemon games that have allowed shinies since 2003 with Sapphire. Not once have I encountered a single shiny, but then 2 years ago happened. I was on vacation. Bored. Doing a soulsilver nuzlocke. I caught a something in route 2 and used up the pokemon on that route. I restored my pokemon at the pokemon center. I then encountered a shiny Ledyba, my first shiny pokemon after 8 years of playing pokemon religiously. I was so excited, but I didn't want to break the rule, so I put him in the PC for safekeeping. Honestly I was disappointed in it as my first shiny. Neutral nature, shit stats, shit pokemon in general. I'm kinda glad I tossed him in the PC.
Later, I lost the nuzlocke. In anger, I started a new game right off the bat and suddenly remembered something. My only shiny just got wiped from existence. At first I didn't care because I was a competitivefag at the time and only cared about competing, but now, well, when I think about it, pic related.
My only fucking shiny was in there.
