>>55202408Here's what really fucking grinds my gears about Journeys in general. It's so utterly inconsistent in the treatment of returning characters, no matter how much screen time they get. Some characters like Gary, Brock, Paul, and Serena are done pretty dang well, especially considering some circumstances, while you get the impression that Dawn is mainly here for BDSP advertising with pretty much no development in her story, and Iris continuously jobs on screen at every appearance.
You want to know what makes no narrative sense whatsoever? Iris just leaving after she jobs to Cynthia instead of going to watch Ash in the stands to watch him battle Cynthia in person, and, oh I don't know, MEETING UP WITH DAWN AGAIN.
Fuck's sake. At least the final battle was pretty neat.
