Gym is full of piles and mountains of big real size Pokémon plushies/dolls. The puzzle is trying to avoid (or not) the real ones hidden in between the plushies while you trudge through the maze. The real ones can be distinguished by things like blinking or moving slightly. When you pass in front of a real one, it will jump out and its trainer will challenge you to a battle.
