To answer your question, as soon as the subs became available consistently and easily, I've been watching subs and seeking advice about where to find them and which sub groups are legit. For some reason, the TPCi anon continuously (You)s me for watching the dub, even when I post screenshots that have subs on them. As far as I can tell, he's either actually that stupid, or he does it to instigate his dub slapfight. You can imagine how irritating it gets to do all of the things and still have him stalking me. Regardless, if this was an unfortunate coincidence, you deserve an apology.
I'll finish DP tomorrow. I never really gave much credence to the idea that TPC was ever going to retire Ash, but if I'm understanding the subtitle here correctly, it seems as if they were teasing the possibility of having a non-Ash protagonist by the end of DP. As it turns out, after the credits, it's just Ash for BW. Which, we already knew, but I'd imagine people at the time were legitimately unsure if Ash was going to continue until maybe the Tobias fight.
