There are a bunch of trainers but surprisingly no plot events between there and Boulder Town -- "The cornerstone of our strength." It's taken over entirely by D.O. a la Saffron.
I go into the Gym, and these three OBVIOUS MEMBERS OF DARK ORGANIZATION say they're in charge of the Gym, and that I'll get a symbol from them if I can beat the two trainers in a double battle.
I still don't know what's up with Shellos/Gastrodon. Is this meant to be, like, a third forme for them?
Anyway, after beating these two OBVIOUS MEMBERS OF DARK ORGANIZATION, the "Leader" tells me to walk forward to get my symbol despite my character having zero reason whatsoever to trust him. My character does so, and I get pushed off a cliff. Look at that dialogue there.
The sad part is I've thought before, if I ever made a hack, that a morally ambiguous person turning full-on heel by knocking someone off an edge into another area to get rid of them would be a cool moment. I can see how easily it can turn edgy now, though.I end up in Mineral Cave, so I finally get to see what LoG anon's been telling me about its ridiculous levels.
