Well I don't have a great way to explain it, phrases like "most ambitious" doesn't explicitly mean "good", it's a pretty common way to say "they tried" without implying they're disappointed with it.
Kinda works in the same way as those high-budget movies where half the review is about the diversity of the cast, or spending a quarter of the review mentioning the pushback the writers got on Twitter and such, rather than reviewing the actual movie, which turns out to be underwhelming.
I'm mostly blaming the strict embargo GF is pulling on this gen, but these reviews are a bit too flimsy and thin for my liking.
Even with the reviews, there isn't any solid evidence that the games are better than the underwhelming hype season has lead us to believe.
