FireRed/LeafGreen, HeartGold/SoulSilver, and AlphaSapphire/OmegaRuby have all been absolutely 200% fantastic and not only a direct improvement to the games they were based on, but expansions upon them that I've found eclipse the originals.
They're really great and I've played and enjoyed every single one of them. I secretly hope they never stop making them because they've just been so consistently good.
