>Pokemon fans think that the series is too sugary sweet because it has positivity and utopiaism typical of series aimed at children
>in response the slop Shudo, a clearly mentally ill man with many troubles that makes things way too dark, gets praised
>when in reality Pokemon games get very dark in their own right, like a family being destroyed by wormholes yoinking the father to a small deserted island with no memories of his family and dimensional beings driving the mother to insanity and abusing her kids because of that sweet sweet jellyfish juice
You have to draw the line somewhere, it isn't that edgy shit is forbidden, but once it gets too real or people make it too cringe. Shudo had no filter and desperately needed help that couldn't be found at the bottom of a bottle. He doesn't deserve praise for most of his ideas, but the few that might be interesting shouldn't be thrown out the window, either. After a certain point, it stops being fun and starts reading like someone venting.
