>>43129094>When did your interest wane?It started with ORAS. Gen 3 was my favorite next to Gen 2 and I wasn't pleased with how lackluster the remake was in all regards. It was the first Pokemon I never bothered to finish.
My interest in new Pokemon games completely dropped with Sun and Moon. The prerelease season gave me hope with the new graphics, music and island setting. Then I pirated the game a week before release and playing Moon made me wish I playing ORAS again. The constant focus on characters, plot and being interrupted every route and town in an already linear region left an impression so bad it entirely killed my interest in future games. It became clear to me the direction they were taking the series in, especially with Ohmori directing now, so I gave up.
That being said I still have enjoy Gens 1-5 and romhacks.
