>>13211498I've actually always felt this way, but never wanted to say anything because "hurr durr genwunner" and such. The first is usually the best for everything, and when you try to keep adding to it it had a big chance of failing horribly. For example, sometimes I give little drawings to friends or even this one group that likes to ship each other, and when it gets to the point where they ask me to do more, I feel this immense pressure that I have to top what I did in the first place, and then end up making it worse than the original. I'm also a huge perfectionist, so I hate it when it gets like that.
I'm not saying every gen after Gen 1 was stupid and horrible, but there's only so many ways you can "top it" before it just gets worn out. Just like how they kept running with Code Geass, or how SAO is only really good up to the 14th episode. I really wish people would stop trying to milk for big buxx and just let things bathe in eternal goodness.
