Try to research areas where you can easily isolate hunt whatever mon you're looking for, sadly not all of them can be isolated so you'll have to be more careful. Also dont forget to save before making the sandwich. Here's a site to calculate sandwiches based on the powers you want, sometimes adding sparkling and encounter bugs out and doesnt show anything so if that happens just search for guides on game8 or reddit
