I'm not disagreeing with you but I believe the point in the games deals with an already suspended disbelief that not only is everyone nice, every pokemon is obedient and there is nothing going so wrong that it can't be fixed which ever happens. But it's marketed to leave you wanting more, or so I'd like to believe. manufactured soulless and empty so you can make your own experiences and memories in place of the game providing them to you. I guess it's telling we've sort of reached a point in society where we really need heavy amounts of information effort and ambiguity in order to sate our overactive yet under-preforming minds.
that being said I absolutely love any form of innovation and creativity of which bw2 was brimming with. dream link, PWT, battle subway, movie theater, stronger elite 4, badges, different towns for different versions, while these may come off as annoying of distracting from the overall game I really enjoy the unique aspects added to the game to try and make it a complete and wholesome experience.
