X/Y aren't really that bad. Actually, I think the story is second best next to B/W, and people are complaining because it came after the best storyline in the series (which isn't saying much) It's clear that they're saving all the 100% effort for Z or XZ/YZ or whatever. There are a ton of sequel hooks in the NPC dialogue.
I have a worrying feeling that the sequel WON'T be a retread of X/Y. Instead being a new story in a different region. (remember the weird statue? and the ghost saying "you're not the one" too, implying we'll have a different protagonist) Meaning Kalos will never be fixed for another 12 years before the X/Y remakes.;_;
