Your average zoomer Pokemon fan can recite endless trivia about Gen II games but they haven't actually played them, and if they have it was on emulator at 8x speed. They did not grow up with a physical copy of GSC which they cherised and discovered what it had to offer through actually playing it. Instead they watch Youtube, get told what to think of it, and experience it vicariously through grifters earning clicks through controversy.
