How come Max never got a pokemon but there's this COTD kid with a spheal? Max should've gotten a Kanto starter at the beginning of BF. Him not getting anything makes these episodes where May is off-screen in favor of Max feel wasted. Also kind of anticlimactic for this to be a team magma episode that writes-off our girl when last episode she had a character defining moment that set her up for more development, but oh well, guess that comes laterMovie next!
