My gym is Ground type, 7th or 8th gym. I'd be an ecologist you'd see all around the region preserving local Pokemon habitats from the evil team who'd be exploiting them.
My team would be Torterra, Excadrill, Camerupt and my signature pokemon Rhydon with Eviolite (I don't acknowledge the existence of Rhyperior). They're all dear to me for various reasons.
My town would be an underground village made in a series of tall hills and you'd be able to walk up the steps to the hills above the town. The gym would be a three room puzzle.The first room would be a mudland; with every step you take, you sink or raise platforms in the mud around you. Next room is a desert; every step you take rains dust/sand from the ceiling that may block your path. Last room is a cavern full of fragile tiles, every step makes small fissures you could fall into and start over.
