>>44126843It's mostly a joke but it's not like it's unwarranted. Whitney and the rival battle before her are pretty huge difficulty spikes compared to what came before. No shit it's still going to be easy for players who are knowledgeable on Pokemon but for kids back in the day it was easy for them to lose to her. Even for experienced players though, Whitney can still be a run ender for speedruns, nuzlockes, or just about any restricted challenge.
