It's been a while since I watched TV, but today i was browsing through the channels and saw this movie, i haven't seen a pokemon movies since heroes.
The animation is horrible, the plot seems to be the same as it has been in all other movies (Big power awakens > Powerful pokemon are controlled to destroy everything > Team rocket become unlikely heroes > Ash saves the day); which i have no problem with, however this one time there is literally no reason for any of this to happen, the greatest example is Volcanion, what was the poingt of that nigger other than having a strong ally?
Also, remember how in the first movies the battles were pretty much balanced? Literal clones fighting each other, legendary birds could barely be contained by a bunch of ash's pokemon at the same tim, but here? Literal mega evolved pokemon fighting againts NFE shitters, Mega Agron being stopped by pikachu's iron tail, Mega salamance stopped by chespin's seed bomb for fuck's sake.
And finally, the animation seemed on par with the fucking anime, it was a horrible experience.
Are all movies after Heroes like this? I mean even M4 and 5 had arguably a bit of originality in their plots, atleast those looked like they took more than a month to be drawn and animated.
