I would give All the way to SM except BW a go, each series has something going for itself. For BW it's a mixed bag because of the circumstances surrounding it. JN on the other hand is a really, really mixed bag.
I am currently rewatching it to create a Watch Guide with bullet points like Teams, Companions, progressions. In the style to the guide of my favorite Yugioh Show, 5Ds.
Personal recommendation is OS, XY and SM. Also the Likonime is gonna be tomorrow on the 12th episode mark before a 2 week break and so far no episode has been straight up and they are all coming together. It's currently a 7/10 for me. But because of the new pacing and writing, it's better for some parts to watch them together instead of weekly.
