GF had the right idea by removing the Judge and just letting you see your Pokemon's IVs right from the box, imaging having that power with changing the form of Legendary. Bang, a million pointless NPCs gone, no need for meteorites, no need for a room with appliances, no need for a Gracedia, ect.
Then there's shit like pointless evolution methods, make Magneton, Charjabug and Nosepass evolve with a Thunderstone. Condense the Light Stone, Dawn Stone and Sun Stone into a single item. There is no need for all this clutter that was introduced nearly 2 decades ago. Gen 8 can be the soft reboot this series needs but Gamefreak is too fucking stupid to fix any of this.
