>>35874594Gen 2 in general seems like the "forgotten generation", at least in terms of how GameFreak has used and promoted its introduced Pokemon over the years. NONE of them got any stat buffs through the 3D transition, while even minor gen 1 mons like Arbok got stat boosts. 6 gen 2 mons got Megas (compared to gen 1's 13), and 2 of them (Steelix and Scizor) were evolutions of gen 1 mons anyway. The only gen 2 mons that seem to get any love from GameFreak anymore are Lugia and Ho-Oh, plus the aforementioned megas. The rest have stagnated with mediocre stat spreads and move pools, and are completely unusable. It almost seems like GF is ashamed of gen 2, more than any other generation.
