Fight against Karen went pretty well - Cenarius managed to beat her Umbreon before it could do anything shitty. From there the rest fell into line. Was worried about Gengar considerably, but it never tried using Destiny Bond, instead only relying on Curse and Spite against Naz.
Then came the fight with Lance, and I just knew it was going to be brutal. Gyarados was zapped quickly, and I was ready to keep Naz in to set up the incoming Dragonite with confusion. That's when I realized - that fucking Gengar depleted me of PP! I couldn't use Confuse Ray. I was forced to stall for a bit while I got Naz up to bat again. After it had put itself into confusion with Outrage, I swapped out for Jynx. Hyperbeam one-shotted it. Fuck.
So while it was left recharging, Kalecgos finally came out to play. It was able to get off an Icy Wind that was just enough to knock it out. Next Dragonite comes, and though it got winded as well, Hyperbeam again. OHKO. So with little choice, I swapped out for Lothar. Didn't have anything super-effective, but after tanking a Hyperbeam, he managed to Thunderpunch it to death. Aerodactyl came out, and rather than tempting fate I put Naz back in. It managed to hang on after a Surf and got in another Hyperbeam that sent her into the red, but she picked up the spare. Then came the last Dragonite. This fight was pretty much a process of hitting it up with confusion (when it didn't have Safeguard on) and healing in between attacks. Eventually I managed to beat it out, but left with a very weakened Lanturn. So weakened that I nearly lost her when Charizard outsped her with Slash.
She hung on by a single hit point. Retaliated with Surf.
So there we have it. I've won the League, with the most losses I've had in my runs thus far when taking on the Elite.
But I can't stop now. I've got to keep going. To Kanto.
