>>55909594>New to pokerogue>Got cocky after stomping everything for awhile>Intentionally went into a wild pokemon boss fight with 1 fainted pkm, 1 near-death + asleep pkm, and my main carrier at 50% HP + burned>Burn is fucking god-awful to have on your pkm in a prolonged fight>And boy was I in for a prolonged fight>The wild pkm boss on every 10th wave was replaced with a gym leader. Shedinja, 2 banettes, a polteageist, a mimikyu, and a terastallized houndstone>Shit got complicated fast thanks to shedinja's wonder guard and lack of moves that could damage it on all my pkm except ninetales and my near-death sleeping chandelure>Plus shedinja & the 2 banettes kept spamming a move that makes them invincible for 1 turn, then deals damage>Ended up having to return by death over 30 times and made a list of branching paths, EG use petal, synth, synth, power, swap to chand, use any move to tick down his sleep counter by 1 turn, swap back to venus, etc.>About 1 page of text and 1 hour of attempts later the strategy flowchart finally paid offFeelsgoodman, easily the most satisfying victory so far. Lessons learned: any fight can be replaced by a harder fight without warning, never go into a fight with a handicap even when you have a few OP pkm, and the AI can read your moves and use different moves accordingly which is some bullshit, EG if you use an attack at low HP the AI is guaranteed to use sucker punch to kill your pkm on that turn, but if you use a non-attacking move the AI just so happens to choose a different move that benefits it that turn. Kinda like playing poker against an AI that can always see your hand and makes its choices accordingly
