So there's no such thing as a Trio unless you play a specific game
Therefore, you can't explain the idea of a legendary pokemon that is version specific without each game being connected to other games
If you can trade pokemon between games, then that means that each game isn't treated as its own separate universe canonically
Therefore, within the same universe, there are multiple legendaries
