If anything, it sounds "mother-ish", like instead of taunting you, he's scolding you on your lack of treating your Pokemon with love and respect being why you lost to him.
Which really comes off as Blue saying "I'm not angry, just disappointed in you for losing because I know you're better than that.", honestly it sounds like Blue knows that you could have beaten him there but hates to see you slacking off.
Unless I'm just reading too into this.
