It will be, as Game Freak are never among the first studios to release on new hardware (they actually wait till mid-gen update/kid-focused hardware release since Gen III) Given Nintendo said back at Switch launch they'd support it 6-7 years, even if they release a new console in 2024, Game Freak will still be 7 years off releasing a game for it. Their devcycle is built as such, to maximise Nintendo console sales. I also understand selling .27m less is selling worse, but the most pertinent example shows the disparity has shrunk significantly. I don't think the disparity between SS and potential DP remakes will be as drastic, but I'm not ignoring the numbers presented, or letting my personal feelings colour my opinions.
