That would be a very dangerous thing to exist in real life. Personally I wouldn't want any Pokemon to exist as that would imply a lot of fantasy creatures could be real or come into creation somehow. It would cause massive amounts of religious uprisings and panic and in general more problems than good.

I don't know if this was Human's doing this or if it was something that say Arceus or whatever the ancient deity entities crafted and put into the world to capture pokemon. But regardless, Pokemon would be incredibly different. People and Pokemon would probably have more hybrids as to survive and there would be more equality or less equality depending on how things work. In a weird way Pokeballs probably are the gap between equality and inequality for Pokemon and Humans. If Pokeballs or more specifically the concept of capturing Pokemon didn't exist I'm pretty sure Pokemon would reign supreme. They are stronger, smarter, and can defy the laws of reality. Without the tools to capture them and or the idea that Pokemon have an innate desire to be with humans, they'd probably be in the reversal scenario. Not saying that humanity would be destroyed or anything wild like that... its just that humanity would probably be some type of hybrid in my mind. Kind of like the Sinnoh Myths just rather than it falling off it continued.
